Making notes

Enter notes in Notes Logs to keep a paper trail in RB9. You can make entries in the Notes Log of any:

RB9 also makes notes for you. Notes you, other staff, and RB9 enter appear chronologically in the Notes Log of the RB9 entry you edited. Notes can be canceled, but not edited nor deleted. (See Canceling notes.)

You can set remind dates and times in notes to have RB9 follow up with you automatically.

You can set up categories of notes, so that you can filter the entries in a Notes Log to see only specific types of notes. See Managing notes logs.

Notes entered in any Notes Log are for internal use only and are not published on RB Connect or in any correspondence with clients or resources.

  1. Create new note

    In any Edit window, click add button  in the Notes Log pane.

    In the New Notes Log, the date and time are automatically entered in Communication Date, and Communications Type defaults to Call.

    *Notes is the only required field. Enter information here that you want to keep a paper trail for.

    Click Save. The New Notes Log panel closes, and the new log entry appears in the Notes Log.

TIP: Save client correspondence in Notes Logs

Instead of having to look in 2 places for what clients communicated with you, enter email correspondence and notes about phone conversations in the appropriate Notes Log in RB9.
